Reading the Riot Act

The closure of the road meant that all could walk around freely and it was good to see so many people around the town dressed in medieval costume. The St. John Ambulance gave its services free for this event and, thankfully, was not required to perform any first-aid.
The evening was rounded off as invited guests and those who had pre-booked adjourned to the Darlington Inn and were given a sumptuous meal cooked by Jo Weaver and her staff.
