Children’s Charter
Councillor Brian Lush, Mayor of Camelford, the Archbishops, Bishops, Abbots, Priors, Earls, Barons, Sheriffs, Reeves, Ministers and Bailiffs and faithful people -greeting.

Know ye that we, at the instance of our brother, the illustrious Mayor of Camelford, of our special grace have granted and, by this our charter, confirmed for us and our heirs, that the children of this town of Camelford in Cornwall, which King Henry by his charter made a free borough in the year 1259, shall be granted the following liberties:

•  Pocket money shall be 50 pence sterling per calendar month.
• Playstations, WIIs, Nintendos  and other such computerised gadgetry shall be banned.
•  Ipods, MP3 players, CD players and other such music playing equipment will not be permitted for use.
•  Television shall be permitted for educational purposes on the third Friday of each month, for a quarter of an hour.
•  Household chores as allocated by the head of the household shall be carried out daily.
School homework shall be completed daily, immediately upon return from the appropriate educational facility.
•  Bed time will be 6pm each day with wake up time being 5am.

The above liberties shall be granted forthwith, appertaining forever.
