Audrey responsible for the costumes. Her work is superb and her knowledge of how we should look impresses us all. A firm favourite with the group she has the very special gift of making us feel that everything is possible – and that she will help us to achieve it. EDDIE McCORMICK Vice Chair of Camelford Association of Residents and member of Camelford Town Council, Eddie’s enthusiasm for this project knows no bounds. Full of ideas he is in charge of publicity, has produced a website for the festival -www.charter750.org and is constantly in touch with the media. His willingness to do silly things to publicise the festival is legendary, and his recent appearance in the council chamber in full mediaeval regalia with the Children’s Charter is a good example of this. He is also responsible for trying to establish a permanent granite memorial in Enfield Park to mark these events. Quizmaster and compiler for our fundraisers, Eddie is a must as part of the team. ADA McCORMICK Ada, a founder member of Camelford Association of Residents and in full time employment, still finds time to make costumes for all her family and to do a mass of cooking for our fundraisers. She is a phenomenal caterer and her food is always popular. A generous and talented hostess, she is in a major way responsible for the success of the team’s fundraising. MEL BABER A member of Camelford Town Council, our involvement with Mel started when she became chair of Camelford Association of Residents.
She guided us confidently through a very difficult period in the town. She always helps with our fundraisers when she and her husband deal with the money, bar and raffle. Her experience as an organiser, mentor and friend is invaluable. BOB IRELAND Bob, a member of Camelford Town Council and Chair of its Finance Committee has been instrumental in setting up the accounting procedures which control this project. From its inception he has helped to set up budgets which have demonstrated the accountability of the group. He has produced reams of desktop publishing for our fundraisers and events, and has made a major contribution by publishing the Charter information on Camelford Town Council’s new website www.camelfordtown.net – a complement to the Charter 750 site. His natural gravitas is invaluable to the team. TERRY TAGUE After several months of dealing with other matters, Terry has recently returned to this project, using his talent and experience on the film set to create street decoration and event decoration for the celebrations. This essential part of the festival will be done to perfection under his guidance and energy. KRISTIEN CARRINGTON/ZENA JONES Kristien has recently been appointed to the post of Director of School Specialism at Sir James Smiths School. As part of the schools specialist work his colleague Zena Jones had already been in touch with us as to how the school could help Camelford mark this anniversary. Both are
