A large crowd met at the entrance to Enfield Park to watch and take part in Morris dancing performed by Trigg Morris Men. No strangers to Camelford, Trigg Morris sang and danced for a very appreciative crowd. After a very lively evening they retired to the Mason’s Arms where they finished the evening with a good old Cornish sing-song which was much appreciated by all those who had followed them there.
Trigg gave their first public show in July 1971 and their costumes reflect their rural background with green baldricks decorated with Celtic designs that are found on the Ancient Stone Crosses located around the County. Their name comes from "The Hundred of Trigg", an ancient administrative area of Mid Cornwall, and most of their men live within reasonably easy reach of Bodmin.
