The Rotary Club members marshalled when needed during the walk and St John Ambulance was in attendance.
It was a beautiful day for the walk of just over four miles and only one stone could not be taken in. This did not detract from the delight felt by all those who took part in this historic trek of the bounds.
Meanwhile, back at St Thomas’s Church the Women’s Institute were busy setting up cream teas for the walkers. All the tables, decorated with flowers, were set with scones, jam, cream and strawberries and when the tired walkers started to return they were greeted with tea or soft drinks and delicious scones, and cake if they wanted.
A good afternoon was had by all.
